A nineteenth century earth inventor and the inspiration for several novels of celebrated author, Jules Verne. James Bishop Timely came from a modest family in London, England. His father worked as a maintenance operator for Britain’s famed clock, Big Ben.

Most Second Earth historians believe that the experiences young James found while accompanying his father to work was the inspiration for his later tinkering with time. Flat Earth historians believe that it was the death of his son, Edward, at the tender age of seven, which was the inspiration and drive to fuel his time experiments. Still, others argue it was the chance meeting with the arcane professor, Bartleby Tome, which spurred James to break the time barrier.

For whatever reason James’s imagination was sparked, it is universally accepted among all dimensional philosophers and historians that James Bishop is/was/and will be the father of time travel. It is also widely accepted that he created the rift between dimensions, which allowed for reality leaks. The leaks have been traced to the exhaust from his first two time machines, and subsequently, the reason for his death at the hands of the Uganwani pygmy tribe on Sacred Earth Prime in 2201 AD.
